Privacy Policy

Version: express-privacy-2026-11-05-v4

Bell Communications Ltd is responsible for personal information used for Express services. Contact care@express.tz with “Privacy request” in the subject, or write to Level 2, ZO Spaces, Makumbusho, Dar es Salaam. Ask for the person responsible for data protection.

Information and purposes

For enquiries, we collect contact details, your installation address or map pin, plan choice and relevant access details to assess coverage and respond. For registration, we request the identity and company information needed to verify the applicant and authority and prepare the service agreement.

Payment references, service-change requests, signed agreements and handovers, equipment records, support correspondence and necessary connection/security records support billing, installation, service delivery, fault handling and legal obligations. Server logs may include IP addresses, request times and technical details needed for security and troubleshooting.

What to provide

Required fields are marked. Give accurate information and only the documents requested for the relevant step. Do not submit passwords, payment PINs or unrelated health, religious, family or financial information. Ask us before uploading if masking unnecessary details or another verification method would be more appropriate.

Without details necessary for verification or service delivery we may be unable to proceed. If you provide another person’s contact details, have their authority and direct them to this notice. An adult account holder or authorised company representative should complete registration.

Lawful use and your choices

We use information for the stated purposes on an applicable lawful basis, such as handling the service you request, performing an agreement, meeting a legal obligation or your consent. A privacy acknowledgement does not sign a service contract or enrol you in marketing. Identity-document processing has a separate consent confirmation.

Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it through care@express.tz without a withdrawal fee. We explain the effect and any records that must remain under another lawful basis. Withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful processing. Marketing is not part of these application forms.

Access, providers and transfers

Authorised staff and relevant hosting, communications, billing, payment and installation providers may process the information needed for their role. Where legally permitted, an authorised recovery agent or legal adviser may receive the account and invoice details needed to recover an outstanding debt. We may disclose information to authorities when lawfully required. Identity documents use private application links, rather than notification-email attachments.

If enabled, Google Maps handles map interactions and Resend delivers application emails. These providers may process data outside Tanzania. Overseas processing must meet applicable safeguards and transfer requirements, including required PDPC permissions. This notice is not consent to unrestricted overseas transfers. Contact us about recipients and processing locations relevant to your account.

Keeping records safe and relevant

We use role-based staff access and private document storage. Keep private application links to yourself. Information is retained only for the period needed for the application, service, legal recordkeeping or a justified dispute, then securely deleted or anonymised when no lawful reason remains. The period depends on the record and applicable requirement; ask us for the retention basis relevant to your information.

Your rights and complaints

You may ask about your information, request access or correction, seek erasure where applicable, object to processing where the law permits, or withdraw relevant consent. Email care@express.tz. We verify the requester before disclosing or changing personal information and explain any lawful limitation. Your rights include raising a privacy complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission.

Browser storage and outside links

The website remembers your language and display preferences in browser storage. Staff sign-in uses a session cookie. We do not include advertising trackers in this website. External maps, the customer portal and payment-provider pages have their own notices; review them when you use those services.

Service requests and notice updates

Use express.tz/update for a service change or cancellation. A privacy request does not itself cancel a subscription, and cancellation does not erase records that must lawfully remain. We identify notice versions and explain material changes affecting how we use your information.
